I so worked out with Lebron James...

So my day was complete when Lebron James talked to me! I had to cover the weight lifting class at the gym today. I've got 12 girls doing a circuit rotation and we are getting down and dirty with the weights. We have about 15 min. left when Lebron James decides to stroll into the weight room... right where we are working out! He just makes his way into the pit like he's the king... So, his facility manager asks if we could move down. I agreed, and as we are moving our stuff down, Lebron looks at me and is like, "Hey baby, how are you?" Me, being the smooth person I am said, "I'm fine, thanks!" That's it! Why couldn't I think of more to say. I was just in AWE of the MVP talking to ME! All my girls obviously lost their focus, and the class went downhill after that! We were all giddy and I couldn't control myself, let alone 12 teen girls! So, as he is doing his work out, we are trying to do ours... It was pretty much amazing. I know he's just another human being, but I think we are all entitled to be a little star stuck every once in a while!

WHAT A WEEK!

This was one CRAZY Week! First off, we went to the bowling alley on Wednesday, and bowled for a good hour and a half. Because it was only me and another kid, we got 4 games in. Let me just say that I only improved my game! I ended up bowling a 206! Wacht out.. my bowling skills are on fire =)

Next best part of the week was learning the single ladies dance! Man, did I absolutely love to learn this dance. It was offered as one of our classes at camp, and I had to assit it a couple of time. I caught on fast (I missed the first few days), and just danced the day away. Some of the campers were like, "That makes me sick. Skye shows up two days late, and she is already better than I am!!" hahaha That just made me laugh =)

Lastly, we went to Six Flags Magic Mountain on Saturday. When we got there, it was HOT and CROWDED... but, the day totally rocked. I got to hang out with Jake the whole time and didn't have to worry about campers. We waited in line for X2, which took 2 hours. It was totally worth it. We also got to ride it back to back-- if you want to know how, just ask! The best part was Jake's reaction to the ride. When we were done the first time, I look over at Jake as we are waiting to get off and he is unresponsive. I yell his name like 5 times, but he was in SHOCK! He couldn't get over the first drop... Poor guy, thought I was gonna have to get a medic or help!! He was too funny!

In the end, we ended up riding 6 rides and feeling like we accomplished a lot. We kinda skipped dinner until we were leaving the park because we wanted to make sure we got in as many rides as possible. We even went on Viper and Ninja for old times sake!

Harry Potter....

Being a HUGE HARRY POTTER FAN, I came out of the movie super disappointed!!!!!!! First off, I just re-read the 6th book to gear up for the movie. I guess that was a bad idea because it didn't follow the book at all. Um, there were way too many lovey dovey awkward moments. He's supposed to worried about Voldemort, not who's hooking up with who! They missed so much info about where Voldemort came from... that stuff is crucial and I don't think they hit on the horcuxes enough. I did have a few good laughs, but again, they spent too much buidling the love relationships than the actual exciting story. The 6th book is so intense, which saddens me they made it the way they did. I SURE hope they don't make the 7th book like that.

Sacrament Solo

I think because I am not getting enough sleep, I am doing some crazy things. Let's take church, for example. As I am sitting in sacrament meeting with the two other counselors from Camp La Jolla, I decide to start humming. We sang a great song for the sacrament hymn, and I guess I just couldn't get enough. The weird part of it all was I had no clue I was doing it. Once the sacrament prayer was done, I guess I was just in my own little world. It was almost like an outer body experience. The best part of this whole story is the look Jake Long gave me. He's leaning over and hears me humming. Then, he slowly turns his head, not sure why I was humming, and gives me the look of, "what the heck are you doing?" Mind you, this wasn't just a simple hum, it was pretty loud!!!! Because I had no idea that I was doing it, I give him a look of, "what are you staring at me for?" Finally, it all clicked. Goodness me, I couldn't believe I actually did that. Of course Jake was dying with laughter, as was I. Couldn't have picked a better time to hum my little solo!

For camp, I had to be a driver and try to find a parking spot at La Jolla Shores on a Sat. around 11... Let's just say that parkin' a 15 passanger van in a crowded area is NOT my favorite thing to do. So, I decided to go up the hill and walk down. Not the funnest idea, but at least it was only downhill! As I am walking, guess what i find- YEP, this stranded 5 dollar bill. Pays to to walk.. Literally =) Let's just say this made my day!

Coronado!

San Diego Skyline from Coronad =) This is what I saw last night...

Last night I went and spend a pleasant evening with my aunt and uncle. Where did we spend this wonderful night... IN CORONADO! I think it's one of my most favorite places on this earth! I can't describe how peaceful it is. Yeah, don't get me wrong, you get your touristy people, but I still love it. San Diego in general is AWESOME! It's a big city, but isn't as crazy as New York or LA. Somehow I really want to end up down here. I just can't get enough!!!!!

One of the Worst things is.....

Tripping on a treadmill!!!! There's NO recovering from that... you just have to laugh at yourself and keep on treking, so others are laughing with you and not at you!

PEOPLE...Random Rant

AS I am here at Camp, I come across many different types of people... People that I'm not normally around. I guess the point of this is first impressions SUCK and you shouldn't judge. The more I get to know people, I think ," Really? You are really acting like that?" I guess that's more for the people who you think you like. The ones that think they are cool and want everyone to know it! For some reason, I feel like I am drawn to those people at first. I can only assume the "natural man" in me want them to be my friend... I quickly change my mind... " You are seriously going to do that?"
I get to see many different personalities here, and I am amazed at how others treat each other, how others act with crises, and how some are relaxed and chill. I have never really been the "COOL CROWD" person... so I relate to the odd balls. I think they tend to give a lot more to your life than the fake "cool" people. I know we are all different, which makes this life exciting... However, I just tire of "the cool crowd"! Don't they ever get tired of putting up a front? I guess I just really enjoy the people who are individuals; who don't have to have a following, but they follow their own ideas and beliefs!

The dolphins did a FANTASTIC JOB!

How cute are they... I wanted to give all a hug!

What a day, what a day... I was sun burnt from the day before, the sun was beating down on me again, and I was pretty much done with the theme park around 6:00 and still had about 4 hours left!!! Let's just say it was a long day. BUT, I got to see some animals do amazing things, which made me happy=) If I could be a trainer, that would be a rock star job... Hm, Someday? Anyhoo, Happy 4th!!! I got to see fireworks and walk around a theme park and get paid to do it... Hope you all had a great Holiday!

Still waiting...

Somethin' in your eyes, makes me wanna lose myself
Makes me wanna lose myself, in your arms
There's somethin' in your voice, makes my heart beat fast
Hope this feeling lasts, the rest of my life

If you knew how lonely my life has been
And how long I've been so alone
And if you knew how I wanted someone to come along
And change my life the way you've done

Life is Just a Bowl of Cherries

Life is just a bowl of cherries
Don't take it serious,
Life's too mysterious
You work,
You save,
You worry so
But you can't take your dough
When you go, go, go

So keep repeating "It's the berries."
The strongest oak must fall
The sweet things in life
To you were just loaned
So how can you lose
What you've never owned

Life is just a bowl of cherries
So live and laugh, aha!
Laugh and love
Live and laugh,
Laugh and love,

Live and laugh at it all!

My Sister's Keeper

Ok... a total tear jerker! So much grief in that movie... Couldn't help but get some tears in my eyes. I think they all did a pretty amazing job. The Kate character looked so REAL. She did a fantastic job at playing a sick girl. The ending was completely different from the book. The moive ending is really what you expect- the book is SHOCKING! Anyhoo... I loved it!
