Words of Wisdom!

As I was shopping at Trader Joe's today (which is my new favorite store), I was buying my food and the cashier the was nicest guy! Anyway, he asked how my day was... I answer, "It's okay, nothin' too special." Then, he busts out some words of wisdom:

"Just remember, you never have a bad day, just a bad moment. It's up to you if you want to keep hold of that bad moment."

I really liked that! Thanks cashier man.

The Going Ons:

  • I was listening to my Ipod today as I was heading outside. Once I stepped outside in the rain, guess what song came on? "Singin' In the Rain" It was the best timing ever...So, I had a little pep in my step as I was singing in the rain =)

  • I starting watching Roswell, a TV show that was on the WB (back when it was the WB and not CW) when I was in high school. I have always been a huge fan of the show, and now I am addicted to watching it again. Mostly because I have a huge crush on the character, Max. It's been like ten years, and I still swoon over the guy. I guess it's to fill the void of not having anyone to swoon over in real life. Hm, I guess Max will have to do for now!

  • Realized the other day that getting older is kinda sad... There's this cute guy in the gym that I always see and I happened to run into him at the library. We got to talking, and it turns out he is either 18 or 19. He didn't come out and say it, but I am 100% positive he's a freshman out of high school. Just my luck-

  • So, I think I am getting to that point in my life where I want to find a location and stay there for a little bit. I'm about 98% positive that I have an internship down in San Diego for the summer, which I am super stoked about... But, that just means I get to move yet again for like the 10th time in the last couple of years. Then, once the internship is over, I want to move to Palo Alto for the last year of the my program. It's great that I have the freedom to do this, but I am starting to just want to find a place and stay there for a bit. I hope I can find a good job somewhere and stay!

Just a Look-a-Like Update

I was walking to the gym this morning, and some girl went out of her way to wave to me... I look at her without waving because I don't have a clue who she is. She takes another look, and eventually said, "Sorry, I thought you were someone else!" HA- if only she knew how often I get that... I just smiled and went on my way.

I know you can be overwhelmed and you can be underwhelmed, but can you ever just be whelmed?

I am SO ready for the semester be OVER! At this moment, I am dragging my feet to get all my work done. I still have about 6 weeks left of school, which is good and bad. Good because I still have a million things to get done before the semester ends, but bad because it is taking FOREVER (and lets face it, I just want all my school work done!). Just so you feel my pain, here's what I have left to do:

1- Program Plan (roughly a 40 page grant that I need to write)
2- Stats Midterm (Thursday), Stats Homework, and then Stats Final
3- 10 page research paper
4- Confirm my internship and write up a contract
5- Some bizarre 5 minute presentation about a health policy
6- Roughly 4-5 more interview summaries for a job

Those are the major assignments! I am a little stressed out over them, but I gotta look on the bright side... I have six more weeks to get it all done =)

EVERY TIME....

Every time I go to the Walmart here in San Jose, they are restocking the milk. I just don't get it. I go at various times, and it never fails that they are restocking the milk. Of course, I need milk, so it's completely awkward trying to make my way around the worker and the crates. Just once, Walmart, can you please not restock the milk when I come... thanks!
