You’re mad. Bonkers. Off your head. But I’ll tell you a secret; all the best people are.

Sometimes, you have to take RISKS!

To laugh is to risk appearing the fool. To weep is to risk appearing sentimental. To reach out for another is to risk involvement. To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true self. To place your ideas, your dreams, before a crowd is to risk their loss. To love is to risk not being loved in return. To live is to risk dying. To hope is to risk failure. But risks must be taken. Because the greatest hazard in life is to risk nothing. If you risk nothing and do nothing, you dull your spirit. You may avoid suffering and sorrow, but you cannot learn, feel, change, grow, love and live. Chained by your attitude, you are a slave. You have forfeited your freedom. Only if you risk are you free.

Maddi Jane - Breakeven (Falling to Pieces) by The Script

She's so good!

Morning

Don't you hate it when you go to say "HI" or some other form of greeting and it comes out manly or really high pitched? Well, I do. I was talking with my co-worker the other day and we had a pretty good laugh about it. She told me this story about how she thought this one guy was really cute and she got up the courage to say "Morning" to him. When the opportunity presented itself, the "Morning" greeting came out manly; nothing like she planned. I can totally feel her pain. This tends to happen to me all the time. I get ready to say "Hi" to someone and it's usually high pitched like I am 5 years old again.

Another thing I hate is when I try to talk to a cute guy, I get all flustered. I can't find the words and then I just turn bright red. No wonder I can't find anyone to date. The other day when Starr and I went out to get sushi, the waiter was a hottie. Well, of course Starr got her flirt on, but I just sat there like a little kid, giving the shy smile and shoulder shrug. What's funny about these situation is once I find out that they are taken (girlfriend or married) I can totally chat their heads off. My co-working and I mulled over that unfortunate scenario as well.

San Diego... the going ons

1- I first have to say what a blessing my internship is! Let me tell ya, it was a roller coaster of a ride trying to get everything situated for the internship. But, in the end, it all worked out quite nicely. I wasn't going to get paid to be begin with, but it all worked out that I get paid, I get Fridays off, and I work with some great people. I cannot be happier with my situation. I guess I should mention that my internship is with Kaiser Permanente in San Diego. I get to work in the health education/health promotion department focusing on weight management. This is so where I would love to work when I graduate... so this is a great opportunity.

2- San Diego ROCKS! I absolutely LOVE this place. Starr paid me a visit this weekend and we explored some hot spots in SD. In the end, she loved La Jolla (which is where I was last summer). It is such a cute little place. All in all, San Diego is where it's at!

3- Tried Sushi for the first time ever yesterday with Starr. She is a fanatic, and I thought I might as well try it. I even tried the raw fish stuff. I KNOW- I am one crazy person! HA. It wasn't bad at all. You just have to shove the whole thing in your mouth. I don't know if I have the guts to go get sushi by myself, but at least I know I can.

4- Gotta give a big THANKS to my Uncle and Aunt for letting me stay here with them for the summer. AGAIN, seriously so blessed.
