It is a part of the human condition to think, 'because I am doing that which is correct in the sight of God, that God will make my path easy.' Recently, I have been reminded that the truth would be better stated as 'when we are doing what is right in the sight of God, we prevent ourselves from making our own path harder. And God will have fewer 'hard lessons' to teach us'
