HALF DOME... I MADE IT TO THE TOP!

BUT, I will never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever DO IT AGAIN! If I don't see the trail to Half Dome ever again, it will be too soon! I totally tortured myself. I was in pain the WHOLE TIME! Was it worth it... YES (and NO)! I is great to say that I did it, BUT... Hiking is not my forte! I cramped up on the top of the dome, cut my leg (looked worse that it was), rolled my ankle and my knee started to act up. My body is definitely not it shape for a 17 mile hike, but I did it! CRAZY ME! Why do I put myself in these situations?

Here's the cable you have to climb up. On the way to the cable, I felt like I walking to my death! In the end, I was actually the best part of it all!

Here are my injuries... ankle and cut leg! I was a mess after this hike! I am still extremely sore 2 days later!

Happy 4th!

The view from the walk to Pismo! BEAUTIFUL





So my Mom, Starr and I decided to head to Pismo beach for the 4th of July weekend. We never do anything spontaneous like that! Ususally, the 4th of July holiday for the Stoddard's means: Sleep in, watch some tv, take a nap, watch some more tv, think about fireworks that are going off at various places around the nation, go to sleep! Not much celebration.

Well, this year was different. My mom got us a cute little room at Shell Beach, and we kicked it at Pismo Beach waiting for the Fireworks display! We saw some man making an amazing sandcastle, got to see the sun set, bought a pismo beach longsleeve shirt because Starr was cold. The fact that we are so not accustomed to any celebration, we ended getting antzy for the fireworks to start. About 30 min. before the big show, Starr was feeling like we should start heading back to the hotel... Mind you, we already spent a good 5 hours waiting for these fireworks... It was getting chilly, and we weren't all that prepared to sit there in the cold. Luckily my mom was like "NO, we are staying and enjoying ourselves!!!!" I am glad she did because it was super worth it. Good times watching fireworks off the pier!





The next day was a little more like a Stoddard vacation. We tried to sleep in, but Starr was super ready to go. We ate breakfast, dropped mom off for a nap, Starr and I went to Avila Beach (stayed for about an Hour and a half), went back and napped for a couple hours. YUP, that is definitely what the Stoddard's do. Starr had all these plans to do wonderful things, but we ended up being duddy. We did head to SLO, got some DELICIOUS lemon bars (LINNY you would have loved them) and ate at CPK. Starr and I also went for a nice walk down to Pismo.

On Sunday, we thought we would try and stay as long as possible...BUT, I think we were all ready to head home. So, we ate some breakfast, got in the car, and headed home before the sun even came out at the beach. It was nice to get away for the weekend, but to make Stoddards happy, I think all we need is a good nap =)

TONI, BOB, & KYLER

Toni decided she missed me so much that she needed to come and visit! What an amazing friend... I thought that was super nice of her! It was so good to see her and her little family! Kyler (one if the cutest kids ever) is such a cutie patutie! Big, gorgeous blue eyes... he has quite the personality. Bob made us his specialty pies (well, I think my mom forced him to!). All in all, it was a good, fun filled weekend.

On sad note, I was supposed to go to Magic Moutain with them yesterday, but I got SICK! I got a 24 hour bug, which seems to be happening to me more often than not! Anywho, so instead of taking a day off of work for Six Flags, I actually had to take a sick day! BUMMER..I was so ready to enjoy some roller coaster rides!
