A Poem Written by an African Shakespeare
Dear white fella
Couple things you should know
When I born, I black
When I grow up, I black
When I go in sun, I black
When I cold, I black
When I scared, I black
When I sick, I black
And when I die, I still black.
You white fella
When you born, you pink
When you grow up, you white
When you go in sun, you red
When you cold, you blue
When you scared, you yellow
When you sick, you green
And when you die, you grey.
And you have the cheek to call me colored?????
Couple things you should know

When I grow up, I black

Getting Picked up on by an old man....
So Lindsy, Lindsy's mom, and I went to Savers (a thrift store) to check what we could find. As I am looking at the board games, some man (probably around his 40's) asks me where a Salvation Army store might be. Obviously, I am not from this area and told him I was from Cali. I asked Lindsy to help him out. He got his info, but he didn't leave. He started to chit chat about how he is from Vegas, and he's visiting some friends. He loves the thrift stores and always finds something great. I am not sure if I really got a whole sentence in with the guy chatting it up with me. Anyway, he just apparently like me, and was like, " Skye, I think you have a great personality. If I weren't old enough to be your dad, I would ask you out!" WHOA, wasn't expecting that, which made this a little more awkward. So, I tried getting away without being too obvious that I was uncomfortable. Every time I thought he was going, he just came right back and started talking. About 20 min later, I was with Lindsy, and he come to show me that he found a great bag for traveling and asked if I found anything. Man, he just didn't want to leave me alone. Luckily, he must have gone, because that was the last that I saw of him =)

My Kind of Workout!
Exercise for people OVER 40 :
Begin by standing on a comfortable surface, where you have plenty of room at each side.
With a 5-lb potato sack in each hand, extend your arms straight out from your sides and hold them there as long as you can. Try to reach a full minute, and then relax.
Each day you'll find that you can hold this position for just a bit longer.
After a couple of weeks, move up to 10-lb potato sacks.
Then try 50-lb potato sacks and then eventually try to get to where you can lift a 100-lb potato sack in each hand and hold your arms straight for more than a full minute.
After you feel confident at that level, put a potato in each of the sacks
